Kanbaru was one of my least favorite characters of the series prior to Hana since she was given little depth and was always portrayed as a sex maniac, but here we get to see more depth of her, her inner thoughts and how she deals with ambivalence. Reading this made me appreciate her much more. I really enjoyed how she narrates this book - was much less cringeworthy than the way Araragi usually does (but Hanekawa is still my favorite narrator so far). It covers a heavy topic even for Monogatari series, though I won't spoil here, and it's relevant to teen problems today. I guess that's what made it resonate with me so much.
