The film (starring Carrey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield, Keira Knightley) made me As soon as I finished watching the movie I knew I need to read the book, so I purchased it immediately. So yes I read this book knowing the main plot but still, the details that didn't make it into the movie count. This book was told from Kathy's perspective, going back and forth between present and past times in uncoordinated manner, like she was just reminiscing her childhood with Tommy and Ruth at Hailsham. I recommend this book for those who likes to ask questions such as "what makes human, human?" because this book made me challenge my thought about those kind of things.
