Delicately beautiful
By: Stella Wenny
Once, when I fell asleep while reading this book at night, I dreamed about wading through dark water and then swimming in a vast and deep deep pool. When I woke up, I realized why I got that dream. Because reading The Bell Jar is like that. The vast pool of sadness envelops you, trying to drown you, holding you down. Depressing as hell, but delicately beautiful.
