Description

Maybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher, or a colleague.  Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, helped you see the world as a more profound place, gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it.

For Mitch Albom, that person was Morrie Schwartz, his college professor from nearly twenty years ago.

Maybe, like Mitch, you lost track of this mentor as you made your way, and the insights faded, and the world seemed colder.  Wouldn't you like to see that person again, ask the bigger questions that still haunt you, receive wisdom for your busy life today the way you once did when you were younger?

Mitch Albom had that second chance.  He rediscovered Morrie in the last months of the older man's life.  Knowing he was dying, Morrie visited with Mitch in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college.  Their rekindled relationship turned into one final "class": lessons in how to live.

Tuesdays with Morrie is a magical chronicle of their time together, through which Mitch shares Morrie's lasting gift with the world.

I think everyone needs to read this at least once in their life. I'll be picking it up again once in a while, to remind myself of the lessons i learnt from it. What makes this book so beautiful is that it's as realistic as it can get because it all actually happened.

One of the best books I've ever read. Taught me there's so much about life and relationship and about being nice. A must read for everyone!

A book that'll make you pause and zoom out to take a good look at where you are in life.
By: Antonius B.

It has ended up touching me and causing me to rethink my relationships. It has given me a new perspective about my purpose in life and how differently I should go about my day job.

This is the most heartfelt, inspirational book I have ever read in all my thirty years. We can get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily living that we forget to stop and smell the roses, Morrie is a man who not only stops to smell the roses, but is grateful for every petal on each rose. He teaches his young friend about the meaning of this thing we call life

I'd say that this is the kind of book that anyone needs to read at least once in their lifetime. One that gives you a bigger perspective about life and the key messages of it. There are lots of paragraphs that inspired me and made me think about things in my own life. Amazing book.
